No more waiting and being afraid and asking for permission and approval to be who I am and want what I want. No more apologizing for knowing that I was made for a purpose and I have to see that through. If you can't be at my side encouraging me, at my back supporting me, or beneath me lifting me up then please don't stand in front of me blocking the way.

just your eyes holding mine
your hand transferring strength
your smile, quiet and knowing, reassuring me that joy exists, even in chaos

i've never needed the acknowledgement of the crowd
your arms to steady me and keep me firmly standing
your feet beside mine to remind me that i'm not alone
your warmth to cacoon me

it is and has always been enough
